Our Process

At Milarc Cabinets, we believe it is important to align our customers expectations from the start. Whether you’re building a new home, remodeling an existing home, or just adding a single cabinet to a space, we want our customers to feel confident in the process.

We value your project and understand that sometimes timing is everything, therefore we like to begin by informing all of our customers of our process from the beginning. Our current lead-times fluctuate depending on the supply chain & our current project load. To inquire about our current lead times, please reach out to our office directly.

Our step-by-step guideline below lays out our process from start to finish.

Step #1

Initial Budget Quote

What is a budget quote? It is an initial, rough estimate of the project cost. Once we receive your information, our estimator will provide a figure that is as accurate as possible. This ensures that our customers know from the beginning what investment is required to achieve their desired look.

We strive to provide the most accurate budget quote possible, but prices may vary during the design process based on final layout and finishes chosen. Upon budget approval, a design meeting in our showroom will be scheduled. We kindly ask that you only meet with one of our designers if you are positive that you are moving forward with our company. Please note that the quoting process typically takes 1-2 weeks.

Step #2

Design Meeting & Revisions

Once you have received the initial budget quote and decide to move forward, please respond to our estimator. At this time, we will set up a meeting in our showroom with one of our designers to go over layout and finish options in much greater detail. This one-on-one meeting will allow you to ask questions, make modifications & select finishes from our wide range of options. All 11 of our in-house cabinet designers have vast experience in designing cabinetry. From here we will start generating drawings & elevations for your project.

GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME…

Please note that producing cabinet drawings may take a few weeks. Our designers strive to ensure quality drawings, renderings & layouts that will fully maximize the space available. Multiple design meetings or drawing revisions may be necessary to achieve your desired look.

Step #3

Approval of Drawings, Final Sign-off & Deposit

When the design phase is complete, we will provide a final set of cabinet drawings for your review. This set will incorporate all of your revisions as well as a list of your selections (cabinet color, door style, hardware, etc.). Upon approval of your cabinet drawings we will send you a sign-off document.

WHY DO WE REQUIRE A FINAL SIGN OFF?

Cabinets for your project need to be placed into production a few weeks before they are delivered to your home or job site. A final sign-off locks in all changes made to the approved cabinet drawings. This allows ample time for our engineering team to review your project and ensures that materials are ordered in a timely manner. Once your project passes the engineering phase, it is immediately programed into our state-of-the-art machinery and all pertinent information is passed along to our skilled shop team who will make your cabinetry a reality.

We kindly ask that no additional changes be made to your project once you have signed off. Finalizing your cabinet drawings will allow us to deliver our product to you on time. In the event you do have additional changes, we may need to run this as a separate phase of the project to be delivered at a later date. Additional fees may be incurred for changes requested after sign-off.

Deposit

An updated quote will be included with your final cabinet drawings. We require a 50% deposit that is due at the time of final sign-off. Once your sign-off form & deposit have been received, your designer will request a delivery date from our scheduler. Lead times from final sign-off to delivery may vary as a result of current supply chain & available space within our production calendar. Delivery dates will be provided to you within a few days of the request.

Step #4

Cabinet Delivery

Your delivery has ben set, what’s next? You will receive a few different automated text messages in the weeks leading up to your delivery. We use a system that sends auto reminders & updates to keep you informed about your cabinet delivery. You will receive a phone call the day prior to delivery with an estimated time window. Please ensure that your designated delivery space is clear of any debris or hazards, as our delivery team will not be responsible for moving material out of the way to access the delivery area. Clean access to your delivery area allows for a smooth delivery & ensures your cabinets are protected in the process.

Step #5

Final Invoice & Completion

After we have delivered all of the necessary pieces for your project, our accounting department will send a final invoice via email. Payment for all cabinetry provided is due within 30 days of receipt.
